Win a Family Day Out at Dunstone

We’ve teamed up with the fabulous farm mom of two, Bongi Hill (@ndibambe) to offer one of our fabulous Instagram followers a family day out at Dunstone Country Estate!

With first term madness fully underway, we know that most parents are counting down the days to the school holidays and a memorable farm day out at Dunstone will give you something extra special to look forward to. Here’s what we’re giving away:

FOOD AND FARM ACTIVITIES:

1. Wine tasting and cellar tour with the wine maker for mom and dad, juice tasting for the kids.

2. A 2-course lunch at our family bistro, The Stone Kitchen, which has a large indoor and outdoor play area for kids of all ages, including jungle gyms, swings, trampoline, soft play, mini-golf and a climbing wall.

3. Guided farm tour to meet Dunstone’s four-legged family! Our animals include horses, pigs, goats and ducks. The kids will get the opportunity to brush our horses, walk the goats, and feed our greedy pigs and ducks!

Step 3: Comment in the competition post about what family activity you’re most excited for, should you win the competition

Step 4: Tag an Instagram mom or dad friend who would love to win this prize

Competition ends on Friday 20th March at midday and winners will be announced on @ndibambe Instagram page. The prize is aimed at a family of 4 and winners can include any combination of adults and children, as long as there is a minimum of 1 adult present. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash and must be redeemed by 19 March 2021. Other T&Cs apply.

Welcome Summer Family Festival – Sat 8 December 2018

Nothing says ‘Hello Summer’ better than a festive garden party!

Think live music, the smell of a lamb spit braai smoking in the background, pop up food stalls, free wine tasting and craft beer on tap.

Dunstone Country Estate is pleased as punch to invite you to our ‘Welcome Summer’ family event, taking place on Saturday 8th December at our Estate bistro, The Stone Kitchen.

Kicking off at 12 noon, entry is free and everything you need to eat or drink will be available to purchase at one of our pop up stalls on the bistro’s back lawn.

For entertainment, we’re excited to welcome live local acts Wicus Le Roux and Die WildBerries who will be performing all of our favourite cover songs over the course of the afternoon. Get ready to bust out some moves on the dance floor or ‘floss’ it up in a dance-off with the younger generation!

Either way, it’s going to be great day out for the whole family and we can’t wait to officially see in the summer with our greater Dunstone Family. Feel free to bring your own picnic blankets, alternatively we’ll have all of our own outdoor tables, bean bags, sun umbrellas and picnic blankets arranged outside for your comfort and convenience. For guests seeking refuge from the sun, our large interior dining area will also open to all event goers.

Eat, Play, Party at the Stone Kitchen!

Dunstone Country Estate is what kids’ dreams are made of: open spaces to run wild and free and inside spaces to climb, colour and create! At The Stone Kitchen we have built the perfect balance between indoor and outdoor activity for our young patrons, offering parents a relaxed, secure environment in which to host a birthday party or similar event, big or small, seven days of the week, come rain or shine. Here is what you can expect:    

Eat

The Stone Kitchen provides a broad selection of both child and adult platters to suit your budget, ranging from R55 to R105 per person, including cold meat and cheese platters, finger food, fresh fruit and veggies and candied treats for the sweet tooth.

Play

Our play facilities are far from ordinary and offer loads of challenging physical activities:

Party

The Stone Kitchen can accommodate parties of up to 25 children and accompanying adults, with kids’ seating in the Indoor Playroom and adult tables in the adjoining restaurant. Party durations are set at 2 hours and can be held in mornings and afternoons throughout the week.
