Winter at Dunstone

We know why an overnight getaway at Dunstone Country Estate is good for your general health and well-being. But do you? Read our top reasons for visiting Dunstone this winter.

Wave goodbye to the noise of everyday life and work pressures. Within an hour of Cape Town, the short drive to Dunstone in the Bovlei Valley is just enough to settle your mind and sweep out any work or family related stresses.

Wind down with a good book after check-in; pick your spot on a pool lounger in our private lavender-scented garden, or on a sunny verandah, with only birdsong for company and an uninterrupted view of the Hawequa mountains.

Wine the afternoon away with a self-guided tasting session in the garden at our farm restaurant, The Stone Kitchen. Or if it turns cold, get comfy on a couch indoors and enjoy our award-winning red wines in front of the fire. Need we remind you that a glass of red wine is said to be good for your health?

Whet your appetite for hearty farm style cuisine at 6pm with complimentary sundowners and nibbles while watching the sun go down. Just a short stroll through the guava orchard will take you back to The Stone Kitchen for dinner. Choose from one of our regular menu favourites, or go with a freshly created dish from the Chef’s weekly specials.

Warm up in bed with our fine cotton linen, down duvets and pillow. If you’re staying in our honeymoon cottage, Vine, you may decide to jump in the jacuzzi first!

Wake up with the winter sun and enjoy a leisurely buffet breakfast at The Stone Kitchen that caters for every taste, with hot and cold options, as well as bottomless tea and coffee.

Wander the 10 hectares of the estate, taking in the smells and sounds of our beautiful landscaped gardens, vineyards and guava orchards.

Worry Less! We guarantee that after an overnight stay at Dunstone this winter, you’ll feel more relaxed and re-energised to face the world!
